Raki
Raki is an anise flavored spirit produced in Turkey. It is generally considered the national drink of Turkey. It is similar to other anise flavored spirits in that part of the world such as ouzo and sambuca.
In Turkey, Raki is traditionally drunk with water, which turns the spirit milky-white.
Raki is also used to refer to spirits produced in the Balkans that are similar to grappa.
