Flor de Cana 7 Year Grand Reserve Rum
Review

Color is burnt orange. Aromas of meringue, mace, nutmeg, cotton candy, and Sugar Babies with whiffs of alcohol. A big nose that also contains herbal, medicinal notes. Light on entry, then opens some with a light to medium body over the rest of the palate. Some spice, light oak, toffee, and orange peel. Some astringent heat on the end with a short finish. The big nose masks a rum that is light and not as concentrated on the palate. Tasted 4/8/2007.
