Elijah Craig 12 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Review

Orange/rust amber color. Vanilla, cream, raisin, and candied pecan aromas. Soft at first, then slowly builds with a tingling heat in the back palate. Bread pudding, yeast, raw pie dough, and toffee notes. The underlying heat and acidity eventually peak, but they are both still quite moderate. Medium long dry finish with oak notes. A stout bourbon that is not deeply complex but still pleasant with intriguing flavors. Tasted 10/13/2008.
