Burnt amber in color. Orange peel, hazelnuts, bread pudding, and creme brulee aromas. Opens rather quickly on the palate; billows with baking spice, walnuts with a rich mouthfeel. Great warmth and smooth heat; smoother than most VSOPs. Fades slowly with a medium-long finish of delicate heat and light oak. Tasted 4/7/2007.
