Les Domaines Grassa VSOP Armagnac
On some levels, Les Domaines Grassa VSOP Armagnac resembles Kelt VSOP Cognac--the dark spices, caramel, and dried fruit. The Kelt is a bit more complex and regal, while this Armagnac is like a young bull bucking with abandon.

Copper/amber color. Grass, orange, raisin, dark brown sugar, and caramel aromas spill out of the glass. Round, silky open, then intense dried fruit, mincemeat, pecans, dates, and baking spice flavors. This is a big wave of mostly dried fruit. The fruit lingers and we slowly evolve into some oak/vanilla notes and slight Campari-like bitterness. Medium length prickly, yet still sappy finish. This is a precocious dried fruit and nut bonanza.
